Seth Power
Considering the sultry feel of Seth Power’s music, it’s no surprise he grew up just east of “The City With Soul,” otherwise known as Jackson, Mississippi. A talented singer-songwriter with music reminiscent of Ed Sheeran and John Mayer’s early catalogs, Seth combines modern pop melodies with soft rock and bluesy undertones. When playing solo, Seth utilizes a loop station, a device that allows him to create a larger sound than most one-man shows are capable of producing. With a few stomps of his foot, he’s able to layer tracks in real-time and showcase his lead guitar skills; an approach that gives his audience a more holistic experience.
Skye Holland
Skye has had 5 singles on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show US National Airplay Chart. Her latest single "So Close" with Steve Kroeger climbed to #10 on the chart. Her single "We Could Be" charted #37 on the Mediabase Canada Hot AC Chart.
Junior Doctor
With the single “Uh Oh” already climbing the charts and a video that is playing all over the country, Florida-based pop rockers Junior Doctor announce the national release of CLUMSY WORDS AND BAD PICKUP LINES on April 10, 2012.
Junior Doctor has captivated Space Coast crowds for years with their roaring guitar lines, pounding rhythmic sequences and energetic live shows. The power-pop quartet, consisting of Mark Hartman (lead singer and rhythm guitars), Jarrod Kearney (drums), Richard Peidro (bass), & Terrence Donnelly (guitar), were once medical students who, against parental wishes and all reason, chose to harness the musical chemistry they have together.
The Junior Doctor laboratory was full of production talent, and instead of working with just one person, the band experimented with heavy talent for CLUMSY WORDS. They first entered the studio with Matt Goldman (Cartel, Underoath, Anberlin), and followed those sessions with a significant production and mixing contribution by Executive Producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Go Radio). The album was rounded out with work by Ethan Mentzer (The Click Five) and Todd Wright (Getaway Car). The result of the 9-month collaboration is a CD that stays true to the punk/rock roots that made Junior Doctor popular, with an added kick of catchy hooks and melodies.
Mark Hartman says the CD is mostly a collection of mostly-true punk pop love songs, but it’s not just about romance. Recounting the sensation of having someone take your breath away and leave you unable to find the right words, he explains, “Uh Oh” is a meaningful because it is about that happy first love vibe,” and “Not Now” was inspired by the same person, though “it was hypothetical. I was afraid that it would really play out this way, with timing never being quite right. Luckily it didn’t.” But there are more introspective tracks as well. The orchestral and lovely “Beautiful and Blind” was a gift to Hartman’s cousin upon her awaking from a crash-induced, near-fatal coma.“She had to rebuild her life, and this song was meant to give her a push while doing that.” And the newer inclusions to CLUMSY WORDS are the result of being on the road for a year, enjoying positive recognition, but also experiencing the challenges of the music industry. “Mirror Mirror” is particularly personal to Hartman. “Pursuing anything you care about requires sacrifice, and requiring the people who care about and support me to make sacrifices as well. The song is asking if I’m ok with that, if I’m ok with who I’ve become in the process.”
In advance of the release of CLUMSY WORDS, the band released a video for “Uh Oh” which stars Cassie Steele from “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” They’ve been on tour with Sister Hazel, Freshman 15, and have performed at schools across the south and east U.S.
CLUMSY WORDS AND BAD PICKUP LINES will be available at digital retailers on April 10, 2012 via Toucan Cove/Universal. For more information, please visit jrdrmusic.com.

The Villians
Atlanta-based Americana band, The Villains, announced their sophomore album, VELOCITY, will be released on February 14, 2012, via Toucan Cove Entertainment/Universal Republic. Produced by Stan Lynch (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Don Henley) and Billy Chapin (Backstreet Boys, Edwin McCain) and mixed by industry veteran John Kurzweg (Jewel, Creed), the 12 new songs on VELOCITY represent the experiences and emotions that accompanied the recent period of growth for the band. In the spirit of acts such as The Band, The Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac, The Villains utilize different singers and styles for a cohesive, but aurally interesting mix. Songwriters such as Tom Douglas (Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw), Stan Lynch (Don Henley, The Eagles) and Richard Feldman (Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker) were enlisted. From the blistering opening track “Cadillac” to the optimistic “I’ve Got A Feeling,” VELOCITY is a relatable slice of life set to music created by five industry vets. All five Villains, Magno, Dan Call, Sean McNally, Michael Wilkes, and Jimmy James Schmitt, have a rich history of writing, recording, and touring. Each has recorded and performed with many mainstream and indie artists from Nashville to New York, as well as touring the world together and individually. As the backing band for Keni Thomas, they supported Keith Urban, Trace Atkins, Montgomery Gentry and performed USO shows, and at the Pentagon. The Villain’s 2010 debut record, JUST ANOTHER SATURDAY NIGHT, yielded two Triple A charting singles, “Let’s Forget About It Tonight” and “You Don’t Have To Say”, both co-written by Peter Stroud (guitarist for Sheryl Crow and Don Henley). The record was a critical success and the band supported Blues Traveler and Sister Hazel through the end of the year. The Villains will be on tour to support VELOCITY in 2012. The record will be available in your favorite record stores and at online distributors. For more information, please visit thevillainsband.com.

Stereo Fuse
For a band whose music reaches the masses with accessible lyrics and ear-catching melodies, the story of their current line-up oddly starts with a legendary offense by the original (and unnamed) vocalist. Midway through a triumphant showcase performance in Atlanta in 2000, guitarist Jeff Quay paused to tune his guitar while the bassist toweled off and drummer Chad Jenkins quenched his thirst. The singer took that moment in time to tell a joke so offensive the band had to leave and change its name.
The joke remains unrepeated, but it did result in a singer search, which led to singer-songwriter Colin Hill, who was making his way as an acoustic performer in their hometown of Dallas, Texas. Hill’s vocal combination of seasoned rocker edginess and unedited emotional release fit perfectly with the well-crafted songs Quay and Jenkins had been seasoning.
But it was actually a cover song that put this trio on the map. A staple of Hill’s solo act was Material Issue’s “Everything.” When Quay heard Hill’s rendition, it resonated so strongly, they recorded it immediately. A radio station in Biloxi was first to champion the song, which went on to become #1 most requested across the Southeast and Midwest. Hundreds of CDs were sold, and thousands came to see them play.

Mick Bund
Mick Bund, of Mexico 70, recorded this highly personal album on his 8-track studio with just a drummer and keyboard player helping out. 11 finely crafted, medium-tempo pop songs including the single ‘Peace and Love’.
Bertie Higgins
Like his great, great grandfather, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the German poet who penned "Faust", Bertie Higgins is a storyteller. He was born Elbert Joseph Higgins of Portuguese, Irish and German descent and raised in the picturesque Greek community of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Bertie is an intellectual romantic who loves to paint story songs about living and loving in a tropical paradise.
His love songs explore the efforts of man trying to fathom the mystery and allure of women. His fantasy songs deal with the beauty and sensuality of the tropics and his story songs combine past experiences and future hopes. The resounding theme throughout Bertie's work: "Make the best of today lest tomorrow never comes".
